What we never keep
The safest data is the data that was never stored. Three principles hold this whole design up.
Your आधार is never stored
When a resident or guard verifies identity, we keep only the outcome — verified or not — and the last 4 digits, to help you recognise your own record. The full number never touches our database. Not encrypted, not hidden. Simply not kept.
Passes verify offline
A pass is checked against your society's own key, right there at the gate. No call goes out to a server. A resident's comings and goings are not phoned home, not logged to any third party — the verification happens and disappears.
No ads. कभी नहीं — ever.
Agman does not sell resident data, does not share it, and carries no advertising. There is no password to leak either — you sign in with a one-time SMS code, so there's no stored secret for anyone to steal.
We remember the answer, not the question
Verifying who someone is shouldn't mean holding their most sensitive number forever. So Agman doesn't. The moment a check completes — for a resident, a helper, or a guard on duty — the full Aadhaar is discarded.
- Only the outcome is saved: verified, or not.
- Only the last 4 digits stay, so you can recognise your own entry.
- The same rule covers guards and staff, not just residents.
- No full number means nothing to breach, subpoena, or misuse.
A pass that answers to your society, not to us
Every society signs its passes with its own key. When a guard scans one, the phone verifies the signature locally — the way you'd check a wax seal — and lets the person through. It works even when the network is down, and it means no outside server ever sees who arrived or left, or when.
- Cryptographic check happens on the guard's device.
- No server call means no movement log leaving the gate.
- No third party — no analytics vendor, no ad network — is in the loop.
- Works offline, so a dropped signal never becomes a data leak.
Built for the way India protects data
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act sets a high bar for consent, minimisation, and accountability. Agman was designed against it from the first line — not retrofitted after.
- Explicit consent for minors, captured and recorded before any child's data is used.
- A full audit log for every sensitive action — who did what, and when.
- Data minimisation by default — we ask for what a task needs, nothing more.
- Per-society tenant isolation — one society can never read another's roster.
Your data stays in भारत
Agman's data is hosted in India. Resident rosters, verification outcomes, and audit logs sit on infrastructure inside the country — under Indian law, close to the people it belongs to. Nothing about your society is quietly shipped abroad to save a rupee.
