Agman records and routes what happens at your gate — it does not stand at the gate, and it is not your society's security.

1. Agman is a record, not a guard

Agman (आगमन) is operated by BIG HELPERS SOFTWARE AND SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED (“BigHelpers”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in India (CIN U72200MP2008PTC021190) with its registered office at HIG-2, M.P. Housing Board Colony, Tikuri, Katni 483501, Madhya Pradesh, India. This disclaimer applies to the Agman website, web app and mobile apps.

Agman is software. It tells a resident who is at the gate, carries that resident's answer back to the guard, and writes down what happened. It does not physically stop anyone entering, does not open or close a barrier, and does not watch your gate.

We do not employ, train, supervise or vet the guards at your society — they are engaged by the society or its security agency. Agman only gives them a screen to work from and records the duty roster and attendance your society sets up.

Agman is not a substitute for your society's own security. The physical gate, the guard on duty, CCTV, patrolling, your committee's rules and the police all still do the work they did before.

2. The decision at the gate belongs to the user

Every approval or rejection is made by a resident, a household member, or a society office bearer. Agman carries that decision; it does not make it and does not second-guess it.

We do not vet visitors, run background checks, or judge whether someone should be let in, and we do not verify identity documents beyond what our privacy policy describes. Where an Aadhaar check is used, only the outcome and the last four digits are kept — and an outcome is a record of a check, not a character reference. If you approve someone, you are letting that person in.

3. What an offline pass proves — and what it does not

Gate passes are signed with your society's own Ed25519 key and verified by the guard's app offline, without calling a server. Passes rotate roughly every 90 seconds and carry a single-use nonce, so a screenshot cannot be replayed.

A valid signature proves exactly one thing: the pass was issued by your society and has not been altered or reused. It says nothing about the person holding the phone. Phones get handed over, borrowed and lost, and people misstate why they have come. Guards should still look, still ask, and still follow the society's rules.

4. The information in Agman comes from your society

Names, flats, household members, vehicles, frequent visitors, visitor details and guard profiles are all entered by societies, office bearers, residents and guards themselves. We do not independently confirm any of it.

Records can be incomplete, out of date or simply mistyped. Treat what you see in Agman as your society's record, not as verified fact. An office bearer can correct entries.

5. Availability, SMS and the network

Sign-in codes come from a third-party SMS provider (MSG91); notifications and syncing depend on mobile networks, the internet and phone settings we do not control. Codes can be delayed, notifications can arrive late or not at all, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Your gate must keep working without the app. Keep a fallback your society trusts, and make sure guards know what to do when the app or the network is down. Pass verification is built to work offline; the rest of the platform needs connectivity.

6. Nothing here is professional advice

Nothing in the Agman app, on agman.in, or in our manual and help content is legal, security, compliance or data-protection advice. Where we describe Indian law, including the DPDP framework, it is a general summary written for orientation.

Your society's own obligations — as the keeper of visitor records, in how it engages guards, under its own bye-laws — are yours to work out. Take professional advice for your situation.

Agman depends on outside services: an SMS provider to deliver one-time codes and notifications, and a hosting provider for infrastructure located in India. Our site and app may also link out — to a government portal, a police page, or a document your society publishes. We do not control those services or sites, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for what they do with information you give them.

8. Limitation of liability, in plain words

Agman is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate, available and secure, but cannot promise it always will be.

To the extent Indian law allows, BigHelpers is not liable for loss, damage, theft, injury, trespass, dispute or harm arising from: a decision a resident or office bearer made; a guard's action or inaction; what a visitor did after being let in; information a user or society entered incorrectly; a delayed or undelivered SMS or notification; or an interruption in the service.

Responsibility for security at your society stays with your society. Nothing above excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. In an emergency, do not use the app

If there is a fire, a medical emergency, a break-in, violence, or any immediate threat to safety, call the police or emergency services (112 in India) straight away and alert your guards and committee directly. Do not send a gate message and wait for a reply. Agman has no emergency response, monitors nothing in real time, and nobody at BigHelpers is watching your gate.

10. Contact

This disclaimer covers the Agman platform, operated and published by BigHelpers, and is governed by the laws of India. Read it alongside our terms of use and privacy policy.
